Tom Goodwyn advises clients on purchasing, selling, financing and leasing commercial real estate. He represents lenders, developers and investors of industrial, office, multi-family housing, senior living and hospitality properties across the country. He also counsels clients on land use and zoning matters, either during the development entitlement process or afterward to ensure that a property's existing use and improvements are in compliance with local ordinances.
Tom’s practice largely focuses on real estate finance, including representations of national and local financial institutions and borrowers in commercial mortgage and mezzanine loan transactions involving properties throughout the United States.
Tom has significant experience representing health care clients in real estate transactions, with a focus on health care properties in the senior housing sector. This includes negotiating real estate purchase and sale agreements, operation transfer agreements, operating leases, and management agreements and obtaining acquisition, and/or HUD financing and refinancings.
Tom also represents owners of office and retail properties in the Chicagoland area in leasing matters.
